Fidelity Double Standard Light Aged Olympic White

The Double Standard is Fidelity’s take on a familiar dual-pickup platform — retaining the clarity and craftsmanship the brand is known for, while leaning into a slightly more traditional outline and “F” type feel with its 25.5″ scale length. For 2026, the model has been thoughtfully updated with additional forearm and belly contours, making an already comfortable guitar even harder to put down.

This example features a chambered roasted Canadian ash body finished in Olympic White, with a German carve along the top edge adding subtle definition. Light-to-medium ageing gives the finish a gentle softness, while gold half-width acrylic binding provides a refined visual contrast without excess.

Tonally, the Double Standard offers a wide and characterful palette. A Mojo Pickups P90-sized Gold Foil in the neck position delivers openness and shimmer, while the bladed Mojotron in the bridge brings focus, drive, and a slightly more modern edge. A 4-way rotary switch expands the available combinations, giving access to a range of usable voices without complicating the control layout — versatile, but intuitive.

The 1-piece roasted flame maple neck is finished in oil for a smooth, natural feel. A medium-to-chunky “C” profile, 25.5″ scale length, and compound 9.5″–14″ radius provide a reassuringly familiar playing experience, while Jescar medium/jumbo frets and a bone nut ensure precision and stability.

As with all Fidelity instruments, the hardware is chosen with intent. A billet aluminium bridge with modified brass saddles pairs with a through-strung brass ferrule block for strong attack and sustain, while Gotoh Magnum Lock tuners and premium components throughout deliver reliability without distraction.
