Stunning woods,  top quality components, and British craftsmanship at its best – we’ve teamed up with our friends at Crimson Guitars to introduce an updated line of Crimson Raw Series Descendant guitars. The shape is familiar but different, and the twin humbucker pickup configuration is tried and trusted – you can see the  influences behind these guitars – but these instruments have a vibe all of their own. Each Raw Series model is a complete one-off using only the most beautiful timber, with the guitar designed around the natural features of the wood to create uniquely beautiful instruments.

Here’s a guitar that’s a real work of art. In this spectacular example from Crimson owner and master craftsman Ben Crowe, the body is from beautifully grained dark stained poplar burl with the original bark on the top edge recreated by Ben in cast molten pewter – the molten pewter also extends to fills in the natural figurations in the body wood and the dot markers – even the spaghetti headstock logo is created from molten pewter. The comfortable C-shape neck and backplate are black walnut. The guitar has finished with a thin layer of polyester lacquer giving a deep lustre, whilst allowing the wood to breath and the tonality of the wood to come through. The 12″ radius fretboard is ebony. Top grade materials and components are used throughout – selected with the care and attention you’d expect from the Crimson folks. Schaller bridge, Bourne pots, handwound Crimson Classic Hooker pickups, Alpha switches, Switchcraft jack socket and string ferrules, Jescar medium jumbo frets, dual action truss rod with twin carbon fibre rods for rock solid stability, carbon fibre nut and Schaller locking tuners – these are seriously well-equipped instruments! Comes complete with a Crimson branded Hiscox hardcase.
