Fidelity Stellarosa Junior Light Aged Blood Orange Burst

The Stellarosa Junior distils the Fidelity formula into its most elemental form. Designed and built in the UK by Matt Oram, it retains the craftsmanship, resonance and hardware specification of its larger siblings — but with a single pickup and a clear sense of purpose. No excess, no distraction. Just feel and tone.

This example features a chambered roasted Canadian ash body finished in a striking Blood Orange Burst, framed by tortoiseshell celluloid binding front and back and paired with a matching split tortoiseshell pickguard. The finish has a light-to-medium ageing treatment, giving it depth and character without losing the clarity of the colour.

At its core is a single Mojo Pickups P90-sized Charlie Christian in the middle position — a bold and deliberate choice. Open, articulate and highly dynamic, it responds directly to touch and volume control, covering far more ground than its simplicity suggests. With master volume (treble bleed) and no-load tone controls, the Junior encourages interaction rather than switching — a guitar that rewards the player’s hands.

The roasted maple neck, finished in oil, feels immediate and natural. A medium-to-chunky “C” profile, 25″ scale length and compound 9.5″–14″ radius offer comfort and precision in equal measure, while the wenge fretboard and Jescar medium/jumbo frets complete a neck built for confident playing.

Hardware remains uncompromising. Fidelity’s billet aluminium bridge with modified brass saddles pairs with a Descendant vibrato, mounted via a custom plate and finished with a tortoiseshell arm tip — adding expressive capability without diluting the Junior’s directness. Gotoh Magnum Lock tuners and premium components throughout underline that this is a focused design, not a simplified one.

Supplied with a padded BOSS gig bag and strung with Stringjoy Signature 10–48s, the Stellarosa Junior is a pure player’s instrument — raw, responsive and unmistakably Fidelity.
