Fidelity Stellarosa Lite I Light Aged Torino Red

The Stellarosa Lite I offers a more accessible entry point into the Fidelity Guitars range, without compromising the core principles that define Matt Oram’s work. Designed and built in the UK, it distils the Stellarosa concept into a lighter, more direct instrument — focused, responsive, and effortlessly playable.

This example features a solid obeche body, chosen for its lightweight feel and balanced tonal response, finished in bold Torino Red with light-to-medium ageing. A German carve along the top edge adds subtle definition, while the clean, minimal layout keeps the emphasis firmly on the instrument itself.

At the heart of the Lite I is a single Mojo Pickups overwound Mustang pickup in the middle position. Direct, punchy and highly responsive, it delivers a surprising range of usable tones through volume and touch alone. With a simple master volume (treble bleed) and no-load tone control, the guitar encourages interaction — a player-led approach rather than reliance on switching.

The plain maple neck, paired with a wenge fretboard and finished in oil, feels immediate and natural. A medium-to-chunky “C” profile, 25″ scale length and compound 9.5″–14″ radius provide a familiar, comfortable platform, while Jescar medium/jumbo frets ensure smooth playability throughout.

Hardware remains true to the Fidelity ethos. A billet aluminium bridge with modified brass saddles works in conjunction with a through-strung brass ferrule block for strong attack and sustain. Gotoh SD-91 tuners and quality components throughout reflect a consistent, no-compromise approach to build.

Weighing in at just 6lb 3oz, the Stellarosa Lite I is exceptionally comfortable — a guitar that feels alive in the hands and encourages long playing sessions without fatigue.
