Gibson ES-330 British Racing Green 2025

The Gibson ES-330 is one of the great fully hollow electric designs — light, resonant and unmistakably alive in the hands. This fabulous 2025 example adds something a little different to the mix: a beautifully understated British Racing Green finish that suits the vintage lines of the 330 remarkably well.

To all intents and purposes, this is a new guitar. It has seen home use only and remains in immaculate condition, complete with its original Gibson hardcase, paperwork and case candy.

Unlike its ES-335 cousin, the ES-330 is completely hollow, with no centre block. At just 6lb 6oz, this one is beautifully light and resonant, with a distinctly open, woody and acoustic character — super responsive, with the sort of lively resonance you can feel before you’ve even plugged it in.

Construction is classic ES-330: a 3-ply maple/poplar/maple thinline body, deep-set mahogany neck with a comfortable Rounded C profile, Indian rosewood fingerboard and a simple trapeze tailpiece. At the business end, a pair of dogear P-90s provide everything you’d hope for from a 330 — articulate and chiming when clean, warm and complex through a little breakup, and wonderfully raw when pushed harder.

There’s something particularly appealing about the simplicity of these guitars. Two P-90s, a fully hollow body and not much else getting between your fingers and the amplifier. Add that rather glorious British Racing Green finish and this is a particularly cool example.
