Fano Alt de Facto TC6 Medium Distress Cadillac Green 2015

There’s something about a Fano that immediately makes you want to pick it up. Familiar enough, yet full of little details that make it unlike anything from the mainstream.

This 2015 Alt de Facto TC6 is a superb example from the Premier Builders Guild era, finished in beautifully aged Cadillac Green Metallic with Fano’s Medium Distress treatment. It has all the visual swagger of a well-loved vintage instrument, but with modern reliability and impeccable build quality. The Alt de Facto series was Fano’s flagship line, hand-built in the USA and renowned for combining influences from classic American guitars into something entirely its own.

The swamp ash body keeps the weight comfortable and the guitar wonderfully resonant, while the early ’60s C-shaped maple neck and compound 7.25″-9.5″ radius offer a vintage feel without sacrificing effortless playability.

Tonally, this one sits in a sweet spot all of its own. The pair of TV Jones PowerTrons deliver plenty of punch and warmth, but with a clarity and articulation that separates them from a traditional PAF humbucker. Clean sounds sparkle, overdriven tones stay focused, and there’s enough bite to cover everything from rockabilly and Americana through to classic rock and indie. The TonePros TOM bridge and Bigsby B5 complete the package, adding smooth vibrato without compromising tuning stability.

Finished with cream binding, a gold plexi guard, aged nickel hardware and supplied in its original G&G custom hard case, this is a wonderfully individual boutique guitar that stands out for all the right reasons. The condition is A1, and the original case and paperwork is included.
