At the heart of this guitar is a set of Ivison Freebird pickups, inspired by the clear, punchy and articulate tones of vintage Firebird pickups but taken to the next level by Ivison. Designed and wound specifically in house to complement the Dakota platform, they deliver exceptional note definition, sparkling cleans and a distinctive midrange voice that sits somewhere between a classic PAF and a single coil.
The combination of a lightweight mahogany body, one-piece mahogany neck and wraparound bridge creates a wonderfully resonant instrument that feels alive in the hands.
